Paediatric Packaging Solutions

With over 50 years’ experience in providing packaging solutions, we understand the unique requirements for paediatric medication packaging. Almac’s comprehensive range of paediatric packaging options ensures safety, convenience, and adherence to regulatory standards for children’s medications.

Dosage Accuracy
Accurate dosing is critical for paediatric medications, as under-dosing can result in therapeutic failure, and overdosing can lead to adverse and sometimes critical effects. Almac’s packaging is designed to ensure accurate dosing by providing check weighed packaging. This is achieved by weighing bottles prior to, and after filling. We also deliver an assortment of oral dose medications in weighed solutions such as granules, minitablets and tablets in stick packs and sachets, to enable correct dosage amounts.

Tamper Evident and Child Resistant Packaging
The safety of paediatric patients is our top priority. Almac’s packaging solutions include tamper evident features that indicate if a product has been tampered with, ensuring the integrity of the medication.
Our paediatric packaging is child resistant to ensure the safety of young children and comply with all regulatory guidelines, while still remaining user-friendly for adults.

Compliance with Regulatory Standards
Regulatory agencies have specific guidelines for paediatric drug development, manufacturing, and packaging to ensure patient safety. These regulations aim to ensure that medicines for use in children are
high quality, correctly monitored, accurately dosed, and provide the correct packaging to avoid unnecessary and critical accidents. We have a wealth of experience in these requirements and can support you to ensure your paediatric product will meet the highest standard of quality and safety for your patients.
